NEXUS

Terms of Use

Effective date: 18 October 2026 · Version 4 · Applies to the Nexus app and nexusapp.africa

The short version

Nexus helps people find local businesses, and helps local businesses get found. Be honest, be respectful, only offer things that are legal, and don't use Nexus to harm anyone. If you see something wrong, report it and we'll look at it.

Who we are

Nexus is a South African marketplace app operated by Michael Mokhethea ("Nexus", "we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@nexusapp.africa. How we handle your information is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Using Nexus

If you're a vendor

What's not allowed

You may not use Nexus to publish, offer or do any of the following:

Reviews

Reviews must describe your own real experience with the business. Don't post fake reviews, review your own business, review a competitor, or offer or accept anything in exchange for a review. Reviews can be anonymous to the public, but Nexus knows who wrote them. We check comments before they appear and may remove reviews that break these rules.

Orders

Nexus passes your order to the business. Nexus does not sell, deliver or take payment for anything. The business is responsible for the order, its prices and its quality. Prices in Nexus are confirmed by the business.

Customer details

For businesses: customer details you receive through Nexus (names, phone numbers, order history and notes) may be used only to serve that customer's orders and questions. Don't sell or share them, don't add them to marketing lists or broadcast groups, and don't send customers messages they didn't ask for.

Reporting and moderation

Ending your use of Nexus

You can stop using Nexus and ask us to delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms.

Our responsibility

We work hard to keep Nexus reliable and safe, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free, and we don't check every listing. Information on Nexus is provided by vendors, and we're not responsible for their goods, services, prices or conduct. To the extent the law allows, Nexus is not liable for losses arising from dealings between customers and vendors. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under South African law, including the Consumer Protection Act, where it applies.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll update the version and effective date above and ask you to accept the new version in the app before you use a feature the change covers.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of South Africa.
